I am searching for information on John Westbury b c1815, married Ann Major. Believe he to be son of Robert Crew Westbury and Elizabeth Townsend. red mail Peer / Silk
Am looking for information about employees at Hatherop Castle in the 1870s. My gt gt grandmother Catherine Peer was in service there during that period; she married Edwin Richards in 1875 and I assume left her employment around that time. They had three daughters: Fanny (1876-1881), Alice (b.1877) and Lilian (1886-1973). Fanny's full name was Fanny Edith Silk Richards; the 'Silk' is apparently given for a Mrs Silk who was in service at Hatherop at the same time as Catherine (from the census I have the name Caroline Silk, of Fairford) - I would also like to contact members of the Silk family and find out more
