Trying to trace details of James and Eliza Aplin. James Aplin was born in Uffculme, Devon c1856 and married Eliza Wills. They lived in Creech St Michael, Somerset and had a daughter named Emily in c1882. Then moved to Wales, James ?a coal miner and had x5 more children recorded on census records - these were Thomas, Henry, Alice, Blanch, and James. Eliza re-married in 1897 and to Charles Holmes.

Seeking information on Edward Loosemore b 1886 d 1969 in Pontypridd. Edward married Elizabeth Bridgeman in 1913, they had 4 children, Annie b 1914, Bessie b 1917, Oliver 1921-22, Kate b 1923. Elizabeth d 1926. Edward then married Annie Jones 1927 and Eileen was born 1928 (our mother). Annie died 1940. Edward then married Lillian dale 1945. We are trying to trace the children from his first mariage and the ?step children from his third marriage. If you know any of these people or know any information about Edward and Annie and the fact that Eileen lived in "an orphanage" for approx 8 years during this time we would be pleased to hear from you.

Ivor Foster was born in Ponty and was a famous Welsh Baritone studied at Royal School of Music before becoming an opera singer .He sand at Covent Garden Albert Hall and many other big venues in his life.His father was called Ebenezer and mother Sarah.Ivor won two Welsh eisteddfods and in later life moved to Porthcawl where he died in 1959.He had two children Rupert and Megan.Ivor was my grandmothers cousin and I amtrying to trace his descendents.Does anyone in Pont remember the family?

I am trying to llok up details regarding my late grandmthers family, whom I have been told over the years lived in Thomas Street in Pontpridd. There are not any living relatives that have any information and though I have searched I can find nothing. The onyl paper work that I have to go on is my grandmothers marraige certificate with her father name on it which was Robert Owen Parry and I know he was a coal miner. My grandmother moved from wales when she was about 14, before that she lived at home with her parents. She was born in 1913 to Mr Robert Owen Parry and his wife and she had sibling. She was born in 1913, recently deceased 20th September 2004. I never had the chamce to ask her the questions I wanted to as she was very ill towards the end of her life. Does anyone have any information that could help me?

My family moved to Pontypridd from Somerset circa 1880's, in 1884 Henry James HARVEY (died 1939) my great grandfather married Mary ALLEN (died 1933) at Glyntaff Parish Church. In 1901 some members were living at 22 Bonvilston Road, Pontypridd. From there they moved to the Rhondda (Porth).
