John Wyld had a daughter Eliza 1853 and a son John 1862 with Rachel. Rachel and John arent appearing in the 1861 Wales census and Eliza 1853 turns up in the 1871 Wales census living with the Morgans as their servant. Eliza Wyld married John Pugsley in 1873. Her first daughter she called Rachel (1874). The only problem is cant find a John Wyld married Rachel in Llantrisant. There was a John Wyld married Rachael Phillips Cardiff, St Mary, Glamorganshire 23 Aug 1851. Thats only 11 miles away just dont know why he would go to Cardiff to get married and then return to Llantrisant. Rachel Wilde turns up in the 1901 census Estimated birth year: abt 1828 born: Llantrisant, Glamorgan. This might be her. Please help with this thankyou!

Evan EVANS, was my great great grandfather, born 1813, Llantrisant, Glamorganshire, Wales, died 1886 at the Mill House, Llanstadwell, New Milford, Neyland, Pembrokeshire, Wales. I have found EVAN in the Wales Census for 1841, 1851,1861 and 1871. In 1861 he was living at the BRUCE ARMS, Butte Street, Aberdare, with his servants, Mary WILLIAMS and Martha THOMAS. He was also a Trimming Manufacturer connected with the firm of Richard Evans, Trimming Manufacturer and Importer, Watling Street, London. Richard was his brother. Evan in his Will, acknowledged my great grandfather, Verity EVANS as being his natural son with Martha THOMAS. Verity was born in 1862, in Aberdare, Glamorganshire, Wales. In 1877 and 1878 Evan was living at MYROSS WOOD, LEAP, SKIBBEREEN, COUNTY CORK, IRELAND. Evan's parents were:- David EVAN, 1779-1826 and Margaret JONES, 1781-1864. Evan's brothers were Thomas, 1815-1869, Richard, 1816-1866, William, 1818-1871 and John, 1819-1863. Evan's nephew, David Traherne EVANS was Lord Mayor of London in 1891. I would be very grateful to receive any information relating to this EVANS family including any scanned photographic images that could be shared with me.
Searching Morgan family who ran various inns in the town including the White Hart also David Jones who ran an inn too.Great uncle was Taliesin Morgan , town clerk. Other family names include Thomas family Morfydd and James with children Bertha, Garnet Eleanor . Thanks Kath

Daniel Price was born in Llywel, Breconshire in 1842. He married Ann Jenkins b. Glamorgan at the Pontypridd Registry Office in 1865. I believe Daniel and Ann lived for many years at Beddau, Llantrisant. Three children are known to have born to Daniel and Ann. 1. Isaac Price b. 1870. Isaac may have died as a child. 2. Morgan Price b. 1874. I am unsure what became of this Morgan Price. 3. William Price b. 1876. William Price married Margery Williams in 1897 at the registers office in Cardiff. William and Margery had 4 known children: 1. Annie Price b. 1897 who may have travelled to Austrailia. 2. Agnes Price b. 1899. I do not know what became of Agnes. 3. Barbara Ellen Price b. 1900. Barbara may have died as a child. 4. Trevor Price b. 1907. Not known what became of Trevor. James Kemp born 1871 my Gt Gt Grandfather. He was the son of Thomas and Mary John Kemp (from sommerset) He married Margaret Wile in 1894. For what ever reason, he joined the Army and left his family Mary and two children to entre the Poor house. James Kemp apparently deserted and set up another family accross the valley. what can be established is that by August 1901, James Kemp and his common-law wife Rose Gregory-Bartlett (my Gt grandparents) were living together at 13 Francis Street, Bargoed, they did not get married until 19th August 1914

I am interested in finding out more information reference my ancestor, Richard Norton, (Tinman), who was born in 1791, married at Llantrisant Church 21 March 1812, and buried at same church, 26 May 1818. His son, also Richard, born 11 Octber 1818 at Llantrisant, married 6 May 1844 at Eglwysilan and died 23 February 1903 and buried at St Martins Church in Caerphilly. Frederick G.’s parents were Levi Cox b. 1836 of Somerton and Elizabeth M. of Limerick, Ireland b. 1836/37. Levi’s parents were William Cox b. 1796 in Somerton and Jane of Scotland b. abt 1796. I have more info on Levi’s brothers, Daniel and Frederick, who immigrated to America. Can anyone help me with William’s parents? Would also like to establish contact with descendents of Frederick G. John Bevan born Fleurdyleus 1851 or 1856 married Mary Powell born Llantwit Fadre 1841 or 1846. They had one child Catherine Bevan born 1882. They lived at Windsor St , Cymmer, Llantrisant,on the 1881 and 1891 census. Apparantly family report John was the uncle of Anuerin Bevam MP! I can not find their marriage certificate and there are too many John Bevans from Monmouth to choose.

I am trying to find more about my great-grandmother, Mair Phillips née Richards, born 1871, birthplace Llantrisant, Rhonda Valley or Penycraig. She later lived in Ystradyfodwg then married John Phillips in 1890 and lived in Llangeinor. Her birth was probably registered as Mary and she appeared as Maria in the 1891 census. Her father was Edmund (born in Roath around 1826) and her mother Gwen, Gwenny or Gwenillian (born Davies in Llantrisant around 1828). She was apparently a twin but nothing is known about her sibling. My ggreat grandfather David Evans b.c. 1828, father Morgan Evans all of Llantrisant. The family ran various Inns and Pubs at this time such as Castle Inn, Greyhound and Horse and Groom. I would be interested to know if anyone has any info on the family or the pubs. We know they were Malsters and we think owned a Brewery along with the Bevan family. All records that may have been in the family are now lost. My great grandmother Elizabeth Evans married Philip Williams in Pontypridd, 1890. this an account from my father's biography that during his Army training he had come accross a Robert Hughes from Llantrisant S. Wales born the same day as him with the same name i.e Robert Hughes b.Dec 1st 1913, my father being from Llantrisant N. Wales .My father's Army no being I620728 and Robert (S.Wales's)no. being I620727 ... Robert S. Wales was eventually moved to a base in the Isle of Sheppy and my father moved on to Dover and he often wondered whatever became of Robert Hughes Llantrisant South Wales would be lovelly to find descendants of his family and make contact .

They sold it in about 1946 and moved to Llanmaes, Vale of Glamorgan.
