red mail John Vaughan Jones of Rhyl - Grocer c 1933
The probate of a will in 1933 for Margaret Burgess confirms as executors nephew John Vaughan Jones, grocer, of 1 Abbey Street, Rhyl, also his father Thomas Jones, brother in law. I know that Ann Davies (Margaret's sister) born 1854 Abergele married Thomas Jones but do not know when, probably between 1881 and 1891. None of them appear in a census search for 1891, 1901 and 1911. John Vaughan Jones was obviously alive in 1933 when the will was proven. Does anyone know the family, the butcher's shop, or anything that may help please?

red mail Holmes
Looking for relatives of Robert Holmes who came from Rhyl. On my mothers marriage certificate in 1941 Roberts father is listed as James Harry Holmes Deceased. However, there is a family mystery because we have a birth certificate belived to be Robert's (12 Mar 1916) which lists his father as William Henry Dalzell (Dalyell) - coach driver and mother Annie Dalzell formerly Clarke living at 7a Market Street. Family rumour has it that Roberts dad disappeared whilst out exercising horses and is believed to have fallen down a mine shaft never to be seen again. Robert had a sister Dianne and mum remembers visiting another sister who ran a fish and chip shop in Rhyl. Would love to hear from relatives or anyone who could shed light on the name mystery.
