They had six children all born in Falkland: Nicol (1724-1794), Janet (b. 1726), Robert (b.1727), John (b.1731), Margaret (b.1733) and Robert (b.1736). Nicol QUARRIER married Lucretia BOYD in 1748 at Dunbar, East Lothian (where she was born in 1719) and raised their family in Monimail.
