DOUBLE- Wrabness - (Wrabness - Essex)
I am researching my Double family in Essex and know that my GGG Grandfather was born in Wrabness in about 1795 to Thomas and Hannah Double. I have seen and photographed the gravestones in the Churchyard at Wrabness belonging to John and Hannah Doublewho were probably cousins of my John. I would love to hear from anyone who has any information at all regarding Thomas Double and his wife Hannah Lappage who came to Wrabness from Stratford St Mary in Suffolk via Dedham. Regards Sandra

hi I am searching for the porter and gosling familes 1871 census William Porter 38 and wife Harriet lived at I think new house farm he was a labourer. With their children Harriet 4 lucy 8 mary 1 william 5 also John gosling who is down as father in law so am assuming Harriets maiden name was gosling.Can't seem to get any farther however going forward these PORTERS MOVED AROUND 1910 ISH TO WEST HAM where I pick up the memories with my grandfather Clarence 'Bill' Porter and also my father of the same name.Can anyone help am desperate to go back farther Thanks

Looking for any information on the Barker family of Wrabness. My gt gt grandmother Harriett Barker was born there in 1819/1820. She later married William Carrington from Great Oakley. Their daughter Emma was born 1851 in Lawford. In 1861 census, Harriett (46), a seaman's wife was living in Manningtree with Emma (9), Sarah (7) Robert (5) and Walter (2). In 1871 census Harriett (50), a mariner's wife, was living at 1 Quay, Manningtree with daughter Emma (20) and Walter (10). In 1880 as a widow she married George Peeling, a bricklayer
