red mail Lilley family of Wimbish and Great Sampford
I am seeking any information about the Lilleys before 1800. My great grandfather was Samuel Lilley and his wife was Mary (nee Jonson). They were born in 1786 and married in 1839; they had a son, Joseph, aged 1 year. The 1841 census shows them living with his parents, James and Jane Lilley. My grandfather, James Lilley, (Samuels son) was born in Great Sampford c1848. I have details of his family till his death in 1928. I would be grateful for any information regarding James and Jane Lilley (Samuel's father) who would be my great-great granddad.
