His brother Job/Joseph was my Gt grandfather John appears on several census in Worthing giving his date and place of birth as above. Looking for any information on Evestaffs in Leigh on Sea. Thomas Evestaff married Sarah Ashman in 1829 and had several children before moving to Somerstown, London. One of the children, John, returned and married Caroline Smith Cotgrove in 1871. Evestaffs are few and elusive to track down.

Any information please on William Stephen LANE, retired gas-fitter originally from Manor Park / Little Ilford area. He lived with his second? wife Ada Annie at 20 Redcliff Drive, Leigh. He died 1954. Ada died 1963. The informant on William's DC was "A.L.HONNIBALL, niece", thought most likely to be the niece of Ada, rather than William.
