Ruth Griggs
I have come across a Ruth Griggs marrying a William Raine in Colchester in Feb. 1813. I believe that William could possibly have been from Romaldkirk in North Yorkshire, no idea why he would be in Essex. If the details are correct , they would agree with the 1851 census which shows William's wife Ruth as being from Essex....but there are quite a few William Raines around this time , so he may be nothing to do with my search, just a coincidence ? If anyone has any details at all on Ruth and her parents etc, or can substantiate that they are the one and same couple, I would be very grateful. Thanks, Brian
