red mail Minden Cottages.Victoria Road/Avenue/Street.
Hello. This request is for my Father. He can remember living in the Cottage before the 1939 and was moved out because of an indsendry device landed between the 2 cottages. His name is Arthur Woollard. His dad was James Charles Woollard and mother was Dorothy Woollard. I know its a long shot but every bit helps.
Beehive Barkingside
In 1841 and 1851 my Porter and Scarborough families lived at a place named BEEHIVE in Barkingside. Does anyone know this area and why it was called Beehive. My grgreatgrandparents were Henry Porter and Jane Scarborough or Scarbry. I found a marriage cert between Henry Porter and Jane Scarbry in 1839 but on census Henry Porter and Jane with son George live between an Edward and Mary Scarborough and a Richard and Sarah. I believe Edward and Mary were the parents of Jane Porter. On marriage cert it has Henry father as George Porter. However so far I have not found a baptism for a Henry in 1818 era with father George. Henry and Jane moved to Poplar which my greatgran Maria was born. Maria Porter married George Edward Ford. Any help appreciated. Thank you.
