red mail Waring, Rodham
Looking for information on what happened to the children of Joseph WARING and Ann RODHAM who married at Richmond on 12 June 1832. They had the following children: Jane, born at Gilling on 13 November 1832 and baptised at Richmond on 7 December 1832. James, born at Richmond in 1833, Sarah, born at Richmond in 1837, Mary A (Ann?), born at Richmond in 1842, Hannah, born at Stockton in 1844 Ellen, born at Stockton in 1845 and Emma, born at Stockton in 1849. When Jane married Thomas COULSON, a fisherman and ferryman, in Hartlepool in 1853, Joseph's occupation was given as 'brewer'. On his death certificate he was listed as a 'labourer'. Joseph died of heart disease at Stockton on 8 December 1855 and his wife Ann died of cholera in Stockton on 22 September 1849. At the time of Joseph's death there were a number of children who would have been dependent and I am particularly interested in finding out what happened to them. In the 1861 census Ellen is showing living with Jane and her family but I've not been able to find out anything concrete about what happened to her after this nor what happened to the other children. The only son, James, was 18 at the time of his father's death but it's possible the youngest children, if still alive, may have ended up in the workhouse, at least for a while. Does anyone recognise any of these people, pls?

red mail Sarah Wilkinson
Looking for information on Sarah WILKINSON, born at Preston on Tees on 18 June 1854. Her parents are named on the birth certificate as Thomas WILKINSON and Mary nee HALL. Thomas and Mary married at Stokesley on 14th May 1840. Census information indicates that both were born c1815, Thomas at Appleton Wiske in North Yorkshire and Mary at Brancepath near Brandon in Co Durham. On their marriage certificate, Thomas's father is named as Thomas, a labourer, while the spaces for information about Mary's father are crossed through and it therefore seems likely that she was illegitimate. The occupation of both Thomas and Mary are given on the marriage certificate as 'servant'. Sarah married William HEBRON of Hutton Rudby at St Paul's parish church in Middlesbrough on 2 November 1875, when her father's occupation is given as 'engineman'... I'd also like to make contact with descendants of Sarah's siblings: Ann, George, Elizabeth, Thomas, Mary Jane, William and Isabel born between 1840 and 1856, mostly in Preston on Tees.
