I am looking for information on my great grandmother Bridget Clark Born in Kelloe 1873. She married William Jones. She had a step-father who could have been named O'Hanlon, but her parents names could be William Clark and Mary Elizabeth Kavanagh. Also if Kelloe has catholic church (St Helen's??) and if there is a local cemetary. Any information would be helpful.

I am trying to trace the parents of Thomas Sanderson born about 1839 Durham. In the 1901 census he is down as being born in Kelloe but I can find no record of his birth there, He married a Mary Young (born in Painshaw Durham) in Chesterfield Derbyshire in 1864 but there is no fathers name on the certificate, They had 4 children one of which was my Nan. Has anyone any information that may help my search please, Thanks Sandy

Looking for ancestors and descendants of: Fenwick Hewitson Engineman Born c1825 in Kelloe/Coxhoe, married to Eleanor/Ellen also born c1825. Children : Elizabeth c1880, Elizabeth c1868, John c1858, Thomas c1852, Frances c1854, Eleanor c1850, Robert 1856, Matthew c1863. Robert a Pitman married Mary Isabel Allison 10th October 1880 her father was John Allison a Parish Clerk born c1824. John Allison was married to Ann(maiden name unknown) born c1830 they had 15 children. Any information would be much appreciated. Tonya.

On resarching my family,on mothers side,( LYNN ) have discovered that we're direct decendants of the Rev. William Longstaff, who was the vicar at Kelloe church from about 1771 till his death in 1806. His daughter Mary married my ancestor William LYNN, date and place of the marriage, so far undiscovered. Wm & Mary had 8 children, the first 4 being Thomas1800 Frances1801 William Longstaff1804 George1807 all born at Bishop Middleham. the youngest 4 being born in Stranton ( West Hartlepool ) these children were Robert Hilton1811 Robert Hilton1813 Ann Elizabeth1816 and Thomas1818. Any information in respect to either the LYNN or LONGSTAFF families would be grately appreciated. Also happy to share any info that I may have regarding the 2 families. Regards

I am Trying to trace my husbands G grandmother Charlotte Langley, she was born in Waterhouses, Durham in 1880 and lived in Kelloe (1881 Census). She married Robert Lloyd/Loyd of Coxhoe in 1902. After he died she remarried and I belive lived in Bowburn can anyone tell me her second married name. I think that she is buried in Bowburn Cemetery but as I dont have the name I cannot trace her!

looking for any information on the wilkinson family who originated from kelloe.they were a large family of approximatley 16 children.the children were john henry, joseph, william, edward, ethel, sarah, elizabeth, wilson, james, mathew and george (these are all the ones i know so far)they lived in burnett crescent and moved to morley cresent. wilson was in a japanese prisoner of war camp,john henry was in the home guard. anyone with any information please get in touch
