William Hart Sewell (born 1857) and his wife Mary Ann Vest(born 1862) lived in Felling, Durham,England at the time their first child was born. He was Robert Mark Sewell born 1886 he married Mary Elizabeth Lincoln. Their second child James Sewell was also born at Felling in 1888. he was married, but I have no information regarding his wife as yet. Annie their third child and first daughter was born at Broom Park, Durham, England she married Pattrick (Paddy) Connelly, Rachel was the fourth child and second daughter born in 1890 at Esh, Durham, England. I do not know her married name. Vester was the last child born in 1898 at Shotton Colliery. She married, had two children and lived at Easington Village; again I do not know her married name. William Hart Sewell may have been born in Wolsingham, Durham, England. If anyone can give me any information regarding William Hart Sewell it would be greatly welcome. I do have more information regarding the ancestors and siblings of Mary Ann Vest, other of the indviduals I have listed here.

I'm looking for any information about my ancestors, namely: William Hanlon b.1861 (shipwright) married to Jane Ann Story b.1866 d.1899. Also my mothers side of the family the Graham's: Thomas William Graham b.1871 married in 1894 to Mary Isabelle Lambert b.1874 in Lanchester. There is also a connection again with the name Story or Storey as this was the first name of one of their sons. James.

Harriet married Edward Elliot Armstrong at St Alban's church, Heworth on 17 April 1911 at the age of 23. She lived on Hewitson Crescent, Felling. Her father, James, was a coal-miner. I have been unable to find a birth certificate relating to her although I understand she was born in Felling. Was there a home for unmarried mothers in Felling in the late 1800s as I wonder if she was adopted by James. Can anyone please help? I've been able to trace the Armstrong side back to 1760 but I've hit a brick wall here!

Henry Gardner Brown & Mary Blake
I am just starting on my family tree and have already hit a brickwall. My grandfather, Henry Gardner Brown was born in the church district of St Oswald Newcastle on 19th Feb 1908 to Henry Gardner Brown(senior) & Kathleen. Henry jnr later married my grandmother Mary Blake on 17th Feb 1934 at the Methodist Church in Felling(Heworth). She was born Mary Elizabeth on 2nd October 1912 @ 19 Hill Street, Newcastle to Edward & Annie Blake (formerly Collinson).They lived at 88 Pretoria Street, Newcastle. Henry & Mary moved to the South in the late 30's early 40's seeking work. They eventually settled in Cranfield Bedfordshire. I would appreciate any info on either of my grandparents. Apparantly my grandmother was taken into the care of 'Banardo's'when she was young, were you there with her????? Pls Pls help.
