red mail Kilgour Origin
The origin of the surname KILGOUR Researched by K.D. Mooney, for the New Zealand Kilgour family. This surname is found in the earliest church records, back when vocabulary was uncommon. Priests and monks created surnames as a method of identification in their written records and initially they gave a person the name of their place of origin. And therefore people of the same surname are not necessarily genetically related. More information available.
