I am a direct decendant of William Rennie born approx 1815 in Cumbernauld Scotland (parents Robert Rennie & Elizabeth/Isabel Allan) & Margaret Aitken born abt 1821 in Chryston, Lanarkshire Scotland (parents John Aitken & Jane Angus) I am trying to gain info on any of their decendants. I do not know for sure when William & Margaret died but it was before 1874. I think William may haveb died 1866 Their children included Robert Rennie Son born about 1842 Chryston Jane Rennie born about 1844 Chryston William Rennie born 2 October 1847 Chryston, died 16 July 1903 in Glasgow married Jane Woodcock 1874 Elizabeth Rennie about 1850 Chryston James Angus Rennie Born about 1854 Glasgow, married Helen/Ellen Milne. Tailor & clothier in Cumbernauld All of the children were born in Chryston except James Angus Rennie who was born in Glasgow. By 1861 James was living with his uncle & Aunt Alexander Smellie (Tailor & clothier main street Cumbernauld) & Mary Rennie Smellie as their adopted son. Mary was his fathers sister.
