I am looking for ANY DESCENDANTS of my grx3 grand father's siblings. His parents were Joseph and Christian Borrowdale and they were from Moffat,Dunfreishire. They had 5 children Mary born 1809,Margaret 1810,John(my grandfather) 1813,David 1816, Jean 1819, and William 1822. John came here to 1837 and married the daughter of a Rarawa chieftan and they had 13 children. He died here December 13th 1888 in Boat Harbour Tairua. We know the Maori side of the family but no-one knows of the Scottish side. I have drawn a blank from this end would be very grateful if you could help.

I am looking for information about my great-x-3 grandfather, who was the rector of the grammar school in Moffat in 1841 and 1844 when his first sons John and James were born. Unfortunately he did not survive long enough for the statutory recording of deaths in 1855, having died in Glasgow in 1850.
