red mail Adam Paterson
My great-grandfather was Adam Paterson, born about 1855 in Dumfreisshire. He emigrated to Bruce County, Ontario, Canada, and married Margaret McInnis, in about 1872. Their daughter, my grandmother, was Lizzie Morrison Paterson. I would like to know: - if Adam and Margaret had any other children, and who are they are - who were Adam's forbears and siblings in Scotland - who were Margaret McInnis' forbears + siblings
red mail Thompson
Am seaching for John Bell Thompson (or Thomson ?) who was married to Sarah ??? (could be Bell or Stewart). They had at least one son born in the Ecclefechan area, John Bell Thompson (Junior) born in 1828. Possible a second child, Adam or Jennie, was also born there before the family moved to Nova Scotia in 1834. They had a child, Agnes Thompson, while at sea. Agnes is my great grandmother. Agnes married David Hollingsworth in Colchester County, Nova Scotia. She dies in 1889 in Massachusettes. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Son Henry (Harry) Paton was an All Black Rugby player 1907 & 1910. Harry's daughter Eris Paton toured the UK in 1954 with the NZ Womens cricket team.
