I am descended from George Homan Lennon (b abt 1824) and Alecia Russell (b abt 1825) who were married 19 May 1847 in Booterstown. From there they travelled on the ship Fidelia to New York. They started a family and established a business in Lindsay, Ontario Canada where they both died(1900/1882). Alecia's brother, William Lloyd Russell (b. abt 1832 d. 1883) also settled in the Lindsay area. He married a Canadian born girl, Caroline Dickson. Wm was a land agent and involved in politics in the Lindsay area. After he died, Caroline and their daughter, Laura, moved in with George and Alecia's son, James Lennon, and his family.

My grandmother, Isabella McCoubrie m James Ogg (of Dunfermline) on 13th July 1913 in Clondalkin. Moved at some stage to Edinburgh, then Tranent, East Lothian. Isabella's father was William McCoubrie and mother Isabella 1863-1945, surname not known. As far as I know, my grandmother was protestant but I can find no other information on the McCoubrie side of my family.

Am seeking information on Michael John Brown, bootmaker who married a Dora Farrell and lived in Dalkey. Their daughter Kathleen Brown was born 7/2/1896-7 and migrated to Australa in 1923/26. I believe Kathleen worked as a domestic for a Dr. James Breen in Colimore Road before she left for Australia. She nominated an Aunt Jane Brown who lived in Railway St, Dalkey as her next of kin. She worked as a nanny before she moved to Belfast and married moved to Belfast. Her husband was Joseph Pritchard - he worked at Bellevue Park. They had one daughter (Patricia Mary) - my mother. My father left Ireland in 1945/6 and came to England.He married and had 2 daughters. His father was also called William Farady and his mother surname was O'Sullivan her first name was kathleen. The family story is that he ran away from home - so his age may be inaccurate ie born slightly later than 1859 - In England he spent most of his working life as a groom and in 1881 was working in Aldershot on military barracks for a regiment that had been based in Dublin years earlier. I found a letter 35 years ago in a book ( no envelope) it was from a woman Emma, the letter was written in July 1861 in Rathgar, Dublin then sent to New Zealand to a man called Edward, it was from a house called Auburn House. I can not seem to find anything on this house in Rathgar or Dublin. I would love to find either the family of the people who lived in this house or the owners of the house now (If it still exist's), I did find an old ordinance map of an Auburn house and Auburn cottage.

I have much info on the Stepney family (my father's) but have virtually nothing on my grandmother's family. Looking for information about my grandparents, My grandfather came from around the Stillorgan,Dun Laoghaire,area.I know he and my grandmother lived in Mounttown, which is where my grandmother was from.My grandfathers name was Patrick Hall, and my grandmothers name was Ellen Ducie.I do not know who his parents were.There was some talk that his father had married twice. I am trying to find information on my deceased Grandparents who were both from Ireland. My Grandfather Edward (Eddie) Joseph O'Connor came from Terenure, I believe his mother was called Mary and she passed away when he was about 9 years old. I do not have a name for his father but we think he passed away when Edward was in his 20's. Edward had a brother called Paddy and two step brothers Charlie and Mick. He also had a sister who became a Nun. Eileen Teresa O'Connor (nee Solan) was born in Cabra and came to the UK with my Grandad when she was about 20. I remember being told as a child that they came to the UK because Grandad wanted to fight in the war and he lied about his age to do so. Any information would be of great help as I have started to come to a bit of a dead end.
