George Hastings/Elizabeth Kingston Gibson
I am trying to find details of the above George Hastings married to Elizabeth K Gibson in Downpatrick, they had at least one child George Andrew Hastings b 12 July 1865 in Downpatrick. He became a Solicitor and moved to England and married and his mother was living with him in The 1901 Census as a widow so George must have died prior to 1901. My ancestor by name of Press believed to have come to Downpatrick from Norfolk 1603 settling at a place called Islandhill. Excerpt from letter I have: "Daddy went to Downpatrick about 1866 to see an old man called Mickey Press who was then 93, he was some far out relation". I believe Presses in Downpatrick area today still may be distant relatives.
