red mail CRAIG
Alexander CRAIG married Isabella WILSON 22 January 1851 in Banbridge. Isabella's age given as 20 years and Alexander's age given as "Full Age". I think his birth date was about 1826, and the family assumption is that he was born in Banbridge. Alexander's profession described as "Weaver" on his marriage record. Alexander's father's name given as John CRAIG and his profession "Weaver" on the same document. I have been told John's wife was Agnes (McMURRAY) CRAIG (born about 1799?). Isabella's father was Robert WILSON and his profession "Labourer". Alexander and Isabella had at least one child, John CRAIG, in Ireland in about 1852, before turning up in Glasgow sometime between about 1853 and 1856. I am trying to track down any information about: any other of Alexander and Isabella's children born in Ireland - possibly one called Samuel who died in Glasgow in 1856 aged 2 years; Alexander CRAIG's parents, and if possible grandparents, including dates of their deaths and where they died; Alexander's siblings and also similar information with respect to Isabella WILSON. Alexander had at least one brother called Robert, born about 1835. I don't know where Robert was born.
