I am trying to find relatives of Elizabeth Vey Lewis last known address Trent Drive, Wareham, Dorset in 1990. Elizabeth is a neice of my cousin Linda Harris Vey Cox who passed away in Poole, Dorset in 1990; Elizabeth was the informant on the death certificate. I am trying to find out more about Phillip Burdon and his family. Born about 1826 Phillip is the father of my maternal Great Grandfathers wife Mary Cathrine Burdon who were married in 1877 in Knarsborough Yorkshire. Phillips Wife was Fanny, maiden name unknown and his mother was Katherine (Catherine) again maiden name unknown. I would ge grateful if anyone has any more information about this family that they are willing to share. There is a tenious link to a sailor called Burden who was at the Battle of Trafalgar but as yet unproven.

My Grandfather was Thomas Philip Dove the son of John Dove & Georgina (Guy) Dove. Thomas and his wife Emily (Burden) Dove also lived at Eastward after John died in 1899. I have info. on the Dove family 1791 to present.

David Read (b. Horham, Suffolk 1827) was one of 12 children born to Stephen Read and Mary Howard. David married Jane Baker in 1850 in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset. They had two sons before leaving for the U.S.A. with David's sisters Hannah Bridge and Anna M. Toop and their families. If you are a descendant of any of the Read children or know anything about them, I would love to hear from you.
