I am looking for the brothers or their descendents of my grandmother fanny scott. He brothers are listed in the 1891 census as John 17 bricklayer, labourer, walter 15, scholar, frederick 11 scholar, charles 5 scholar. Their mothers name is Elizabeth Mary Rabbitts and she is a laundress. He husband was George. Fanny married Frederick Nelson Pride and lived in Studland, Swanage and Adelaide Austrralia.

My grandmother fanny pride (nee Scott) is listed in the 1891 census as a visitor with Margaret Legg at Verwood. Margaret is head of the house, a widow, born in 1809 (82 years of age) Fanny Scott would have been 9 at the time. Does anyone know Margaret Legg or her circumstances. My Grandmother had four brothers at the time 17, 15, 11, and 5 and her mother was Elizabeth nee Rabbitts and listed as a laundress.

I am researching the Stickland family of Three Legged Cross, Verwood and Horton. William Peter Stickland was the licensed victualler of the Travellers Rest there at the end of the 19C. He inherited it from his uncle Thomas Lukes. W.P.(as he was known) was also a baker and an Insurance agent and was secretary of the Oddfellows. He and his wife Eliza nee Crutcher had a large family. Eliza's family were higglers and hawkers - I believe they were gypsies. Any information very welcome .
