red mail Edward Dorr b. 1648 Dorset County, England
I'm looking for information about my ancestor, Edward Dorr, who immigrated to the Mass. Colony around 1670-1674 and died in Roxbury, Mass. in 1734 We believe he was born in Dorset (Dorchester or Sherborne) in 1648 and that his father was Joseph Dorr. I'd like to confirm whatever we can find out about Edward's, birth, parents and siblings (if any) and our lineage from Edward back. I found a baptism record for a Mary Dorr in Sherborne. Her father was an Edward Dorr. Edward, Joseph and Mary are very prevalent first names in the early US descendants of Edward Dorr, so I believe this may be a lead. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a great deal of information about the family after Edward; but virtually no information about his lineage and ancestry. Thanks-Charles
