red mail JEANS/JANES Jas
I believe my 6th Great Grandfather may have been Jas Jeans or Janes born in Durweston in about 1670. Is there any way to discover more about him? What records could I consult? I know he had a son called Joseph and I think I can trace the family forward from there but I´d like to know more, for example what work they did.
Any help will be very helpful. I am searching for any info on the Freak family who lived in Durweston in the 1760's (at leaat) and onwards. Thomas was born in about 1761 and seems to have married twice - Caroline Upward and Mary?. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thomas's family emmigrated to South Australia in 1850's and there is a very large family out here.
