I am looking for any information on either Joseph Aplin or Erd Homer, who married in Bere Regis on 30 Dec 1756. I believe they had a son William born 1757 and possibly another, called Joseph, born 1760.

Dorcas and Henry Charles had 6 children Henry b1878,Ida Mary b1878 (married Albert Edw. Hall), Ethel Mary b1880 (married Albert James Carter), Bessy Maud b1876, Blanch Emma b1874 (married Henry Dibsdall), Jess(i)e b1868 and Frederick b1869. Either one of these children or their offspring lived in Bere Regis in the 1940s or later.

Looking for parents of Betty Hawkins who had illegitimate son Thomas baptised in Bere Regis on 23.3.1756. Betty (perhaps Elizabeth) might have a connection to the Hawkins family of Winterbourne Kingston. Thomas married Elizabeth Barrett in Wool on 23.10.1778.

Has anyone else got links with this family, they were originally Woodman of Woodbury Hill, Bere Regis, making the stalls for the annual fair. The Goulds diary is in Dorset County Museum, listing all their jobs, plus little notes relating to the times, from about 1760. I haven't yet seen it. Sue

I know that one set of her grandparents where called John and Elizabeth Hansford. John was born abt 1817 Affpuddle and Elizabeth about 1814 Winterbourne Abbas. l am looking for my my forebears joseph bullock m emma williams june 1850 west knighton dorset. would like to find anything, also his father william bullock, joseph was born aprox 1821 or if anyone knows of roke cottages where l beleive he was born.or any bullock family living either in owermoigne, west knighton area please around the 1800's.. joseph in later years moved to bromley kent then to isle of dogs.

My ancestor William Guy was married at Bere in 1797 to Charlotte Bagg from Bridport. They moved to Parkstone then where they brought up their family and where William worked as an ag. lab. at Parkstone farm. I have so far been unable to confirm the whereabouts of his birth/baptism - the most likely being at Owermoigne in 1769, the son of John Guy and Jane nee Spencer.
