My great, great, grandparents Sarah and Henry Dunkley lived in Stoke Gabriel. Sarah was born there (maiden name unknown) and they had three children there around 1860 - 1870. Henry was a saddler and they all moved to London but appear to have returned for the birth of each child! Sarah was born around 1828. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Jacki
red mail ADAMS, Henry 1824-1899 Solicitor.
Henry Adams was my GGGrandfather and seems to have disappeared from history between 1848 and 1881. I cannot find his whereabouts during those years. His father was Richard Adams (1785)Gentleman Farmer of Rydon House and his mother was Grace Churchward (1794. He married Mary Mudge of Bickington in 1847 and their daughter Gertrude Adams was born in 1848. He vanished after that. This man is a mystery and pops up again in 1881 census in Plymouth then in 1891 census in Totnes workhouse. Any ideas gratefully received.
