My gggrandfather was John Brownson on the 1891 census and James on the 1901 census. born 1854 exeter and was married to eleanor norfolk in 1882 in Goole yorkshire.He was the village chimmney sweep on the census and lived near the clog mill in snaith. I am trying to find any information about a Mrs Phyllis Walls (nee Tonkin) who lived in a house called Rosemont in or near Stoke Fleming in 1919. She had two sons ( at least). She was related to the Tonkin family of Saltash and the Churchwards and Mitchelmore families of Buckfastleigh. She may have been killed in a World War 2 bombing.
