red mail Robert Railton Fitzgerald, a Sub Postmaster?
Having received through the post the death certificate of my great uncle (Robert Railton Fitzgerald), I was suprised that he was at the time of his death in 1959 that he was living at Primrose Cottage at South Milton and was a Sub Postmaster. Can anybody please confirm this and maybe send me a picture of the post office. The family lost contact with the Fitzgeralds in 1949 when his wife left for Africa as a missionary, so do not know what to any of them: Bob, wife (Nellie) and daughters (Barbara and Margaret).

Ellen sarah Miller
I'm looking for the origins of Ellen Sarah Miller b. c1860. father said to have been Captain Miller who served in South Africa 1830's/1840's. Her mother was said to have come from a v.v. good family possibly tthe Coventry line and was, we think, christened Sarah. She was disinherited due to marrying contrary to family wishes as Capt. Miller's reputation as a soldier was said to have been characterised by some brutality. (family myth??) Any thoughts out there? Thanks. ps. Ellen Sarah miiler was later to marry Richard William Hosgood and gave birth to my grandmother in East Dulwich in 1892.
