red mail Samuel Blackmore
I believe he was born in Monkleigh,Devon, possible mother Catharine Cutland, father Samuel, a gardener at Annery Lodge. They moved to Clifton about 1836, with second wife Mary Short and total of 8 children. Samuel Jr. married Margaret Davies, Clifton Gloucestershire, in 1851. She had one son John in Fremantle W.Australia 1853, and a second George Stewart in Melbourne, 1855, giving Samuel as Deceased. Cannot find any record of him anywhere since marriage - all help welcome..
red mail Hearn
George Hearn was born in Monkleigh in 1838. Who was his father? Why does he not appear on the census information? His mother was called Mary Johns before she married. She was born in 1796. She appears on three censuses and worked as a charwoman. Any help in solving this mystery would be much appreciated. Thank You.
