Hello, We have Phillip Perraton Born Abt 1820 in Devon, he married Mary Oldridge (we believe) in 1842, they had several children. The one in the main line is Elizabeth Jane Perraton who married William Blake. We are looking for his parents, we have been told that William Perraton and Ann Clarke are his parents, but we have no prove of that. We have found lots of info on William and Ann, and Williams Ancestors, but none of it mentions Phillip, can anyone help solve who his parents are? Any help would be much appreciated Thank you

The total average annual expenditure on the poor during the 3 years preceding the formation of the Union, was £9069, but in 1838, it was £9118; in 1839,£10,170; &in 1849,£12,087. The Union Workhouse stands on the north side of the town, in Churchstow parish, & was built in 1837, at the cost of about £6000. It has room for 350 paupers, & Mr T C & Mrs Geyle are the master & matron; MrThomas Harris snr, is the union clerk & supt.registrar; & the Rev T L Hill, MA, chaplain.
