My great gg grandmother was Elizabeth Wilkinson born 1804 in repton, she married Thomasd Gell in 1824 , their first child Richard was born in repton in 1825 , they then moved to derby. Elizabeth father was Richard Wilkinson and her mother was Elizabeth, per parents names are on her marriage details to Thomas Gell. If anyone has any information of her parents and the wilkinson family of repton I would be very greatfull of any information.

My Great Grandmother was born in Jail/Goal yard cottages in Hartshorne 1860, Daughter of Thomas Pegg & Elizabeth Yates, Elizabeth in 1882 had an illigitimate son Horace Charles Pegg who is my Grandfather he was born out of wedlock & can find no trace of father apparently Elizabeth was a Domestic Servant in the vicinity of Hartshorne & rumour is that they payed her 2/6, sent her packing. It appears as a young man he knew of him & that he just dropped dead at a football match whether playing or a spectator we do not know!!!! That is all we have to go on " The man from the big House !! I am looking for any descendants of William Hulse (born c1803) in Repton, who married Mary Cooper in Chapel en Le Frith in Jul 1821. The various census returns show the following children with approximate years of birth. Richard - 1826 William - 1829 Eliza - 1832 Samuel - 1834 Sarah - 1836 John - 1840 Emma - 1843 Thomas - 1845 Henry - 1850 Harriett - 1852 For the majority of census returns they are all living on Long Street, Repton. Their youngest child (that i know of!) is my gt gt grandmother, who moved to Leeds after her marriage to Joseph Bone in 1888. Are any of these names familiar - I would love to know what happened to Harriet's siblings.

I am researching the Maddock family from Repton. John Maddock was born in 1745, he married Catherine Ward in Repton in 1770. Son William born 1786 married Ann Pegg of Whitwick. Son Thomas was born 1813 in Whitwick & he married Ann Murphin of Repton. They had daughter Zillah in 1834 who had an illegitemate daughter Jane who was brought up by a family called Pipes/Piper in Willington. I am willing to share info. Any help gratefully received.

Richard and Thomas Kidger ( Kiddyer ) were born in Repton in 1744 and 1736 to Thomas and Ann Kiddyer . Thomas and Ann did not marry in Repton and I have not found their marriage . Both men were colliers and worked in the Coleorton pits in NW Leics. Richard married Amy King in Coleorton in 1766 and they had children there up to 1778 . The family turned up in Chesterfield , Derbys. where 2 later children were born in 1784 and 1787 . I believe that they lived somewhere between Coleorton and Chesterfield and had my GGGG grandfather JOSHUA KIDGER there in 1781/2 . Does anyone know where Joshua Kidger was born ?
