red mail Tunstall families of Boylestone
Am struggling to link John TUNSTALL, yeoman of Boylestone, born around 1745 to Thomas TUNSTALL & Mary BYRCH, married 1742 Boylestone, who I think may be his parents. But John is not baptized at Boylestone, and the earliest baptism of a child of Thomas & Mary is not until 1753, 11 years after their marriage. Did they move elsewhere, have John, and then come back to Boylestone? Also can't find John's 1st marriage, around 1767 or 1768, to Mary ------ Any help or suggestions welcome
red mail Hannah Stone & Family
Any information would be much appreciated. Hannah (surname uncertain) b. c. 1827 Boylestone, Derbyshire. No information about her marriage to surname Stone but she had a child Ann or Annie who in turn had a child George in 1868 in Tatenhill, Staffs. George lived with his grandmother Hannah and ?second husband John Dunn who married in Burton Upon Trent in 1862 and is shown in both 1871 and 1881 UK Census records with no mention of mother Ann or Annie other than on the Christening record of son George 1 March 1868 in Tatenhill, Staffordshire

red mail Where were these people living ?
Thomas Greaves and Elizabeth Walker were married at Marston Montgomery 8 October 1774 and their first child was baptised at St John The Baptist in 1775. Thomas jnr was baptised 27 Sept 1778. I cannot find any record of the parents' burials or Thomas Jnr's subsequent marriage to Elizabeth ?. Their first known child was baptised about 1809 at Mackworth. Any information as to the intervening years appreciated, or any information on the parents. Thomas jnr later became a master blacksmith - was he apprenticed?
red mail Blacksmith
My greatgrandfather, Edwin John Moseley, was born in Boylestone in 1855. I am searching for information on his father, who is believed to be a blacksmith in the area.
red mail Mount Pleasant Farm
Can anybody give me the name of the street which Mount Pleasant Farm is on - does the farm still exist?
red mail Patience ? B. Circa 1838, Boylestone
I'm looking for the maiden name of Patience Carrington, born around 1838 in Boylestone. She married William Carrington, of Sandy Brook near Ashbourne. They had a daughter Ellen Elizabeth who later bought Mount Pleasant Farm, Boylestone, with her husband, Arthur Silcock. Any information about the family would be gratefully received. Since first making this posting, I have come across circumstantial evidence to suggest that the surname was Moorcroft. Can anybody corroborate this?
