Mary Vipond was born in Renwick, July 8, 1830 and died in Manitoba, Canada June 23, 1913. She married Thomas Slee, also born in England, and they emmigrated to Canada prior to 1858. Mary's father was John Vipond, possibly b. in Austria; her mother was Hannah Robinson, b. England. Any additional info greatly appreciated! I have quite a lot of Slee information on the Canadian side.

red mail Robinson
1881 Census for Alston shows Hannah (nee Robinson) living with her husband William Featherstone. Next door is William's father, Thomas with his wife Mary, children Jane and Annie and adopted daughter Elizabeth Robinson. I think Hannah and Elizabeth are sisters. What is Elizabeth's story? Why was she adopted by her sisters in-laws? Did she marry? Any information to solve the mystery of Elizabeth more than gratefully received.
