Gt.Gt.grandmother Zillah Saul is listed as being born in Bromfield in 1820 ish.She had a son called Thomas Hetherington in 1845 with her partner also Thomas Hetherington-a shoemaker by trade.I think her partner must have died young as she remarried in 1851. Her mother was Nancy Saul but don't know father's name.He was a miller.Grateful for any info. at all.
Thomas Hetherington was born in about 1844 in this area, some censuses indicate Aspatria or just Cumberland. Info on his parents would be grateful. He later moved to Co Durham where he married an Elizabeth Jane Robson. They went to America in 1880 and returned to Durham prior to the 1891 census.

My GT Gt grandfather William barnes died 5 may 1890 and is interred at Bromfield he was born circa 1812 and at death was resident at Brough Hill near Bromfield, I seek information as to where he was born and who his father was.
