Anyone having an Elizabeth Sarah Johns, born 1838, daughter of Richard Johns and Elizabeth Jones. In 1856, Elizabeth Sarah married James Milford Osborn born 1819, son of John Osborn at the Parish Church of Bromley St. Leonard, Middlesex. James was a Mariner at the time of his marriage.. My second great grand father was John SHERMAN, and all I know is he was born in Cornwall in 1806 and died in 1859 and that he was probably a Miller. He was twice married, first wife Sarah unknown, and they were married in 1831. They had Elizabeth, William Henry in 1835, Lydia and Charlen. John Sherman later married Isabella LAWRENCE 1845 in Cornwall. Their children were: James, 1846. Jordan 1848. Richard Ernest, 1849. Fannie, 1850. Wallace Alfred, 1852. Walter Woods, 1853. Eliza married William FAGG (who was born 1833, convicted 1853 at Maidstone, England, to serve 20 yrs at the colony). No village name known for Eliza's home in England. Looking for the origins of grandfather John Henry Grigg he died in the Fulham area of London in approx 1938-39. We believe he came from Cornwall or Somerset. His trade was listed as a toolmaker. His children were called John Henry born 1913, Caroline Mabel 1916 and Blanch 1918. His wife was Charlotte Louisa GRigg( ne Rouse and Rice). They all lived in Fulham London. We believe he had a least one older brother who may have gone abroad to live. He may have attended St Pauls boys school in London.
