Looking for information about my Great Grand parents Stephen and Elizabeth Harris who were married at St Neot on 13 Dec 1837. Elizabeth's maiden name was Doney. Stephen was the son of John and Susanna Harris who lived in Trevaunance in the parish of St Agnes and was born on 25 December 1813. Stephen and Elizabeth migrated to Australia in the mid 1800's and while he was a miner they took up farming in Central Victoria.
red mail William Saunders b.1831 St. Neot-Ellen Moore
My great grandfather was William Saunders b.1831, a seaman and mate of "the Fortunate". He was married to Ellen Moore, who gave birth to my grandmother, Mary Georgina Saunders in August of 1881 in Cardiff, Wales. They had many children: William Jr., Eleanora, Ellen(Florence)Leanie,Ethel,Mary Georgina and possibly more. At some point in the early 1900's they moved to Plymouth. William had a small fleet of ships and carried on trade throughout the UK. Not sure of any background on Ellen Moore. Relatives told me that she was somehow related to the William Booth family that founded the Salvation Army.
