I am trying to find information on the Ashton family from Lostwithiel. My husbands father lived here along with his several brothers and sisters. His grandfather died in 1932 and is buried in the old cemetery. We have located graves in the new cemetery of uncles etc. We are keep to find out more about his grandfather and his father before him. My great gran, b 1856 or thereabouts, she ran away from home/work and married a journeyman called Tom Morris. I cannot find out much about her till 1901 when she had settled in Torquay, Devon. Tom was not shown on census, so presume he died before then. I found an Elisa Tullet on 1881 census at bawdoe farm, she was 16 then. Anything really would be helpful, Thanks :)

Par/St. Blazey/Lostwithiel. I would appreciate any trace or memory of Ernest and Nellie Coram (Bartlett) of Par c.1946-50. Their sons were Wilfred (my father) and Gordon Coram. I also remember Uncle Dick Bartlett, a well-known engine driver. I have recently started research and would make my limited family knowledge available through this site in return.

My maternal grandmother was born in Lostwithiel, Cornwall about 1844. I have always been given to understand she was born Louisa Derrick. On my mother's birth certificate her name is given as Louisa Holland formerly Ryley, and I found her as Louisa Ryley (widow) on the 1881 Census. I can find no birth entry and cannot find her on a Census before 1881. Can anyone help please?

My Gt. Gt. Grandmother MARY QUILLER was born in Lostwithiel in 1834 to JOHN and ELIZABETH (nee TUCKER). JOHN's parents were CORNELIOUS QUILLER and THOMASIN (nee MARKS}. CORNELIOUS was born in 1781 his father was unknown and his mother was JOAN QUILLER who later married WILLIAM RODGERS. JOAN was born in 1761 her father was CORNELIOUS her mother name is unknown at present. JOAN had a sister named ELIZABETH who was born in 1764. Any further information would be appreciated especially the missing link to Polperro where the QUILLER family settled after leaving France in the 16th century during the French war on Religion.
