red mail William J & Cecelia Bowman
My Grandparent's family tree are a complete mystery. My father, William Bowman (1928-2013) never knew grandparents or Aunts and Uncles. His older brother Ambrose (1923-1963) and his surviving brother, Brian (b1927) were equally in the dark. The only information we have been able to glean is as follows: William J Bowman (7/1885-9/1953) was a clockmaker and watchmender for many years in Camborne, Cornwall. Cecelia Marie (probably nee Morgan or possibly O'Hare)(9/10/1898-6/1979), his wife was a 'pocket rocket' - short and slight in stature - but everyone stood to attention when she walked into the room, apparently! They married circa 1922. She rarely went to church, but all her boys attended the Catholic School in Camborne and the house (at New Terrace, Treswithian), was regularly visited by Nuns. When Ambrose, her eldest died in 1963, 8 years after his wife, Cecelia brought up their son. There are rumours of elopement and ties to London, Suffolk, Liverpool and Ireland... but nothing concrete. If anyone can offer some insight into either of my mysterious grandparents, I'd be grateful.
