I am looking for the family of Patrick Murphy who married Jane Sewall (Sewell). They were both from County Cork, Ireland. Jane's father was John Sewall and she had two sisters Ann and Elizabeth, and a brother John. They were here in Saco, Maine in 1850 and before that St. John New Brunswick, Nova Scotia. We think Patrick was born in 1826 and Jane about 1830. If you know anything or think you are related please respond. My mother who has cancer has been trying to find family there for many years. Relatives lost touch but we know in the 1950's they would write back and forth but the names and contacts were lost when an elder died. Please help. Kathy

Timothy Mahony born abt 1770 and Elizabeth Fitzgerald Irish born abt 1770 were Irish Catholics believed to be from Midleton County Cork moved to Woolwich about 1802 and lived at 132 - 134 Powis Street. Timothy worked for the English Military in Royal Carriage Square and is thought to be a carpenter. Children born in County Cork were Bartholomew born abt 1792, Catherine born abt 1794, Cornelius born abt1797, Timothy born abt 1800, John born abt 1801. Children born in England wewe Margarit born abt 1804, Patrick born abt 1806 and Ellen born abt 1810. In September of 1815 Timothy depaets Woolwich oboerd the transport ship Eliza bound for Quebec. In June 1816, Elizabeth departs on board the William Sibbald bound for Halifax. I would think the children travel with Elizabeth but I do not have any record which states when they traveled. I do have one document which is part of a land grant request where all of the children are listed with notations by Margarit and Patricks stating "in England" and they are the only children who do not show up in Canada. The family settles in the Township of Leeds, Megantic County, Quebec. Any information on these people, places or things would be greatly appreciated.

My great grandfather is very elusive! he married in Burnley, Lancs in 1903 but does not appear on any English census before that date. he was described by family as 'very irish' I know his fahter was called John from the marriage cert. I have located a Baptism record of a WIlliam Webster, son of John Webster and Bridget Swiney 5th September 1872 in Cork which could be him but I have no way of checking. I have not found anything else remotely likely. If anyone has any info about this William Webster in Cork I'd be very grateful

I'm looking for my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather Daniel Creed c1820ish He had at least two sons Patrick b1850 (my Gt Grandfather) and Michael Creed b1861 in Ireland probably Cork. They both came over to England and settled in the Fulham area of London. Patrick married Francis (Fanny) Stephens in October 1884 and they had four children one of which Patrick Michael Creed b1887 married my Grandmother Louise Lee on 16/04/1919. I am trying to trace my grandmother's side of my family. Dennis Murray married Mary Whelton in Ireland (possibly in COunty Cork) around 1830. They had a son Dennis who married Mary Regan (daughter of Daniel and Mary?) around 1857 in County Cork. They emigrated to the states and settled in Lawrence Mass and had eleven children. We have not been able to trace six of their sons.

Trying to find the family of Rowan, possibly County Cork or Mayo. Information passed through the family made reference to two places: Georgetown or Charlestown. My G/Grandfather James, b abt 1975 (Ireland) was believed to have had at least 13 siblings, 11 brothers, one of which was believed to be Patrick, and two sisters. My G/Grandfather was catholic and married Anne (Annie) King. Annie was born Wigan Lancashire and was reported to be a nurse?? It was also believed that she had one brother, John whom she named her first born after. I believe that the child named John only lived for approx 5 or so months. James and Annie then moved to Nottinghamshire where their other children were born. Those I can remember are James (my g/dad), Jack, Tom, Cis, Nell, Margaret, Helen...Not alot is known of the family prior to my g/dads time so if anyone can provide any information it would be appreciated. I'm looking for information on Catherine Whelan/Whayland/Wayland who married Edwin Willis in England, circa 1884. All we know is she "came from Cork" but whether County, City or a village we have no clue.. She couldn't write so her name was written for her phonetically & has been spelled several different ways.. We know from her death cert she was born around 1863, she was 29 when she died on 26th May 1892 in Bristol, General Hospital, from complications of childbirth, 3 months after having my grandfather. WILLIAM JONES, born about 1828 somewhere in Ireland and possibly in County Cork. He married Mary PERSSE and they had three sons, JACK, ROBERT & SAMUEL JONES. Samuel was born in Dublin 1864. Jack is believed to have gone to Canda & had a daughter named Coral. Robert & Samuel went to Australia about 1884. Robert settled in Victoria, married and had children. Timothy KEHELY was bap 22Dec1821 at Kiloran/e, Co Cork. His parents were Daniel Kehelly and Ellen Mahoney. Arrived Fremantle, West Australia, per 'Ganges' in 1841 as bonded servant. Also on the ship were Mary BOLGER, her brother Michael and his wife (also) Mary. Mr Schoales was the organiser of these passengers from Ireland. Timothy and Mary married 1841 in Perth. Two children were born in WA - Mary Ann (nil further known) and Daniel. The family moved to SA where Edward, Ellen and Catherine were born in 1845, 1848 and 1850 respectively. In 1863 the family sailed to Dunedin NZ per 'Hussar' from Melbourne and settled at Koru, New Plymouth. It would be so wonderful to hear from any descendents of these families, especially in Ireland.

Here she met mariner Captain James Donaldson LIDDELL, who she married in Sydney in 1830. They had 7 children. Abby died in Queenscliff, Victoria, Australia 15 Feb 1859.
