red mail John Joseph Osborne
Hi I am trying to locate information about the family of John Joseph Osborne who was born in Queenstown in 1865. I understand that his father John (?) Osborne was in the navy and stationed at Queenstown. The only other information I have about John Snr is that he was born around 1825. His wife's name may have been Ellen Mary Hayes. I have been able to gather a lot of information about John Joseph but nothing about his parents or any siblings. Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Helen
red mail William Joseph Power
Hi, I'm looking for information about my Grandfather, William Joseph Power. He was commonly known as 'Billy Joe' and was born in 1924. He was one of 6 (2 brothers and 3 sisters) and coincidentally fathered 6 children of the same gender ratio. I believe he served in the merchant navy and died around 1978? Due to his heavy irish accent my Mother (his daughter) and her siblings don't really know much about their father and my grandmother (Helen Grimmitt) and his siblings have all sadly passed away. As the public records offices burnt down during the Irish Civil war, I can't even trace the names of his parents. My mum believes she may have been named after her grandmother, which would make her name Kathleen. If anyone has any further information it would be most helpful if you could pass it on. I plan to travel to Cobh early next year in an attempt to track down remaining relatives and explore the lovely seaside town for myself. Thanks, Natasha

Sadly most of the family has passed away and struggling to get a family tree going on this side of the family. Any information gratefully received.
