red mail Rynne/Qualey
My grandparents, Patrick Rynne and Katherine Qualey, were born in or near Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Ireland. My grandmother's grandparents Michael Vaughn and his wife, immigrated to Lowell, Massachusetts in the U.S. in the 1850's but did not stay. Returning to Ireland, they raised their granddaughter, Katherine Qualey. Katherine was born in Ballyvaughan, Ireland around 1869. She immigrated to the US in the 1890s. Settling in Lowell, MA and joining her sister Sarah who had already came to Lowell. Patrick Rynne left Ireland shortly before Katherine after his young wife died. He also came to Lowell, MA to join his brother, John Rynne, who was married to Katherine's sister Sarah. Eventually Patrick and Katherine married and raised 9 children. If any of this sounds familiar to you, I would love to have details.

I believe they came from the Ballyvaughan area or Glenvane as it was also known. They came out to South Australia on the ship Henry Moore 13th September 1857. They had a young son called John.
