Emma Mary Ashton Painting by L W Desanges
I am researching Ashton Park in West Kirby, part of which was created on land owned by Emma Mary Ashton (died 1935) who was painted with her dog in a garden by the well-known painter Louis William Desanges. I am trying to locate the painting as part of my research on the park and eventually publishing a history of the park. Emma Mary lived most of her life in Kensington, London. I would like to hear of where the painting is, learn about where and why it was painted and to be able to see it. Martin H.
