I am researching the Family Reginald Speed, who married Ellen Hewitt, they were unable to have children, so adopted a baby, he was called Brian, They lived near Baisley Road, School Northenden, up to the 1960's. He was the brother of my grandmother Emily Louise Speed, who married Harry Lidgard, Emily and Harry both met at the Deaf, Dumb & Blind School outside of Manchester. They married and settled in Northenden, 17 Buckalow Drive, Northenden, where they lived until my Grandmother died in the 1970, Harry then went to live with his daughter Edna S. Margeson in Hale Cheshire.
