JONES,Ralph, born c.1790. He was at Marbury in the early 19C as his daughter, Mary, gives Marbury as her birthplace. The family may have moved to Wharton, as Mary was married there. Ralph is on the wedding certificate as 'labourer', probably a salt labourer, but he is not on the 1841 Census. A Ralph JONES married Elizabeth HOLBROOK, 26 July 1800, at Prees, Shropshire, which is about 4 miles south of Marbury. An Elizabeth Holbrook was born 26 Nov. 1780, at Whitchurch, Shropshire. Her parents were Thomas Holbrook & Prudence nee Dulson or Duddleston. These two names appear to be the same one, Dulson being a corrupted form (info. from ). The line continues with Duddleston marriages to Wettenhall and Whittingham brides, all in Prees, Shropshire. Any input would be welcome & acknowledged.
