I am desperately trying to track down the birth & or details of SAMUEL BRAZENDALE b. abt 1811 d. 1839 Runcorn. He married ELIZABETH SEDDON b.1811 Runcorn. I am having real problems (for the past two years!!) I cannot trace a birth for him at all! He may have been born in Knutsford as the 1841 census shows Elizabeth had moved back there and is listed as 'Pauper' Would any one know whether the poor relief would have dictated that she must move back to her husbands birth parish in order for her to recieve it? if so, it would certainly secure the fact that he was born in Knutsford! I do have a marriage for a SAMUEL BRAZENDALE & ELIZABETH SIDDALL at Manchester Cathedral 1830 - would anyone know if this mispelling of Seddon was common? if it is them, why would they have got married at manchester when they were living in Runcorn? any ideas? Any help on SAMUEL gratefully appreciated! Debs
