red mail Handley Longshot
I am searching for any record of Ann O'Malley or Patrick Macavey in Handley in July-August of 1859.Ann married Alexander Quin in New Orleans in 1863, travelled to Mexico, Australia and finaly New Zealand, where she died in 1922. Amoung her belongings was a letter from another suitor Patrick Macavey, who was in in Drumleish, County Longford, Ireland. It mentioned their time in Handley. Ann was possibly a Domestic Servant.I am so intriuged she kept this letter for almost 60 years on the other side of the world.I would love to know if she worked in the area. Neville
