red mail Clayton of Wood Ditton
The family of Claytons (Ralph Clayton), moved here from Lancashire around the 1600's, and stayed up until the late 1800's. Have a pretty good idea of where and what happened to most of them despite the lack of details held at Cambridge Records. (not their fault). Now confirmed a marriage link in 1670 between a Walter Fyson and an Elizabeth Clayton she born 11021637, he in 1636 at Snailwell, Cambridge, where they settled, and had issue, a John, William, Joseph, Henry, Thomas, and Mary. John had a family and have picked up details about Joseph from a court case, concerning his Mother's nephew, a Lord Sundon, t whom he was the Exectutor to his Will, but somehow this Will disappeared???? John children are a James, Thomas and Ann. Thanks for looking Tim.
