red mail DIVER m. MORLEY
Very interested to hear from anyone who has Joseph DIVER b.1738 in Isleham son of Matthew Diver & Hannah Johnson. Joseph married Hannah MORLEY in Mildenhall, Suffolk 1762. Alison
Sangster / Sanxter, Parr
My interest starts with my own ancestors, there were quite a few Parrs in and from Isleham! Also, one of them, James Parr 1834 married Jane Sangster 1839 in 1858, from which springs my interest in the Sangsters (sometimes Sanxter). I've found a birth record for Jane which gives her mother's maiden name as Collier: Name: Mother's Maiden Surname: SANGSTER, JANE COLLIER GRO Reference: 1839 J Quarter in THE NEWMARKET UNION Volume 14 Page 119 However I also found a family of Sangsters with the mother's maiden name Collen, so I thought the Collier entry was probably a mis-transcription. However there is also this marriage record: Name: John Sangster Spouse: Sarah Collier <<< Record Type: Marriage Event Date: 10 Feb 1823 Parish: St Nicholas, Chiswick Borough: Hounslow Register Type: Bishop's Transcript So it's just possible that this is her family and my blythe assumption was wrong! Can anyone offer any insights, please, into Jane's probable ancestry? James Parr was my great grandfather so any information about him and his family will be very welcome.

red mail Diver families of Cambridgeshire especially Isleham area
The Diver families of Cambridgeshire are of great interest to me. Especially the family of John Diver b. abt. 1802 in Thetford-Fakenham, Norfolk, England and his wife, Rebecca Gates b. abt. 1801 in Hempton, Norfolk, England. Their children: Charlotte b. 1820, Elizabeth b. 1822, John b. 1824, Joseph b. 1828, Rebecca b. 1830, Martha b. 1836, and Benjamin b. abt. 1839 were all born in Isleham. I believe their son, John Diver b. the 1st of August, 1824 in Isleham is my great great grandfather, John D. Dever. I think he changed his name after entering the US in 1851. Also, I think that James Diver married to Mary Tabraham (I believe she was previously married and had a son, Henry Tabraham.) is the son of John Diver and Sarah Fincham.
