Looking for Olive Cross b 25/4/1901 dau of Arthur and Sarah Ann Cross(Welfare).Olive appears on school admission of 1909 and on 1911 census at Chatteris Cambridgeshire, but seems to disappear,. Have checked two marriages with Hugh William Foster and Stuart Nathaniel Cross but are the wrong families. Can anyone help! Thank you.

Looking for info about William Hinkin born 10 Feb 1832 in Chatteris, who may be linked to Mary Jane Johnson, who had his son Ralph C Hinkin in 1848. William died in Ely, Cambridgeshire in 1917. On Ralphs marriage certificate in 1882 William's occupation is given as a "gentleman". Any help would be much appreciated.

I am trying to find more information about Henry Clark died c.1945, he married Katherine who died 1952/3. Henry was with the London Metropolitan Police in Stoke Newington and he retired to Chatteris. Can anyone help. Sarah Jane Allport was born 12th November 1874 in the Union Workhose, Stafford, 1861 census shows her age as six years old. And i assume spent these first years there. Jobe Hill was born 2nd December 1869. They married 19th March 1904. They as far as i know only had the one son, Hector Hill, he was born 14th July 1904. He is my grandfather. Did anyone know this family when they lived at 13 New Street, Wednesbury. Hector Hill was also called Harry. Father was an engine driver in a steel works, which one?? Hector worked there for how long??, then lied about his age, so that he could join the South Staffordshire Regimnet in February 1921. Any help or information on my grandparent time in Wednesbury would be greatly appreciated. Regard Steve

I believe that John was married to Jane Russall or Russell who was born in about 1812. They lived their married life in Chatteris and they had the following children:- Sarah (1834 - ), Mary Ann (1836 – 1871), Emma (1838 - ), Jane (1842 - ), Esther (1845 - ), William (1847 - ), Russell ( 1850 - ) & John (1854 - ). I'm descended from John Brightley b1791 Eldon, Norfolk (according to the 1841 census) and his son John b1815 in Littleport. John's son William (b1841 Littleport) later married Elizabeth Peggs b1841 in Chatteris, and they lived in New Road and Station Street,Chatteris. He married Elizabeth Osborn of Brandon who was born 2 May 1848 and I believe her parents were Robert Davy Osborne born approx 1787 and Susan Snare born 1791. Any further info appreciated. John Born in Denver Norfold about 1830. Married Harriett. moved to Chatteris with children Arthur B 1852 living at Barton Ely Martin B 1856 Married Dec. 1876, name unknown. Henry B 1858 Mary Ann B 1860 Walter B. 1864 EMMA HOVELL B 24 Sept. 1865 married John Watson have children Maud, Thomas, John Martin, Charles and Robert. One of the boys was a jockey. Any information greatfully received. John Watson worked for the Railway and was transfered to Lincolnshire where the children were born. also have a connection to Wilburton

Lea family
I am trying to determine the name of my great grandmother. My great grandfather was George Henry Lea, born on 5/8/1875 probably in Chatteris, Cambs. All I know is that his wife's name was Jane (she is listed as a mourner on his parents obituary) and that they must have married sometime between 1902 and 1910, when their son (my grandfather - Alfred Ernest) was born. I just can't find any record for their marriage!! If anyone can help, I would be most grateful.
