red mail Carter,Burrough Green
in the 1881 census Richard Carter(1833-1905) and his family were born at Borro Green, I think this is probably Burrough Green. His daughter Caroline, born Westley Waterless,(1862-1944)married James Jennings (1859-1938)of Stapleford and were our great-grandparents. Any details appreciated. Thanks
red mail Aves in Burrough Green
I am interested in the Aves family who lived in Burrough Green c 1750-1850: they appear to have moved there from Dullingham, and further back the family may have lived in Stechworth and Ashey-cum-Silverley c1650. The Ashley registers I have seen are missing for the civil war period, but the parish is on the edge of Cambs and the family may have moved from Suffolk or another area. There are also branches of the family, who may be related, in Lode and other villages in SE Cambs. Anyone researching this name?
red mail The Widow Mary BARON (c1738-1819)
May ancestor George Price married a widow, Mary BARON, here in Borough Green in 1763. she must have been a young widow as they baptised no less than 12 children here, and both were buried here. Am seeking her first marriage to establish her maiden name and thereby her ancestry.
red mail Rawlings
